Ever wondered what it’s like to hike the Finnish way?
Join us for an authentic Finnish hiking experience where you’ll connect with nature and understand why it plays such an essential role in Finnish life and culture.
Your personal guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation in Oulu, and together we’ll head to the beautiful Sanginjoki Nature Reserve. On the 25-minute drive, you’ll enjoy interesting stories and insights into life and history in Finland’s North.
Once at Sanginjoki, a 5-kilometer trail awaits, giving you the chance to discover the local nature while learning about the famous “Everyman’s Rights” and cherished hiking traditions in Finland.
Along the way, we’ll take a break around a cozy campfire to practice essential wilderness skills, like compass navigation and fire-making with fire steel.
And of course, no Finnish adventure would be complete without grilling a traditional sausage over the open fire – just as Finns have done for generations!
Relax on the ride back to your accommodation, reflecting on your day in nature and taking the chance to ask your local guide any final questions.
Of course, we will tailor the hike also to your personal preferences. For more information and booking please contact: christiane@windland.fi
