This guided tour takes you to one of the most beautiful places in Liminka, to the Botanical garden of Alakestilä at the banks of the Liminka river.
During the walk, you’ll get to know the history of the park, its buildings and founder, the ‘tree crazy’ municipal councilor Kalle Arvola.
As you walk along the park’s paths, bridges and islands, you can trace its creation and become acquainted with the amazingly rich collection of domestic and exotic trees and plants.
Stories about the different species of trees bring their secret lives to light. You even have the chance to hug a king!
